Suite del Recuerdo, No.1 Evocacion

I've started putting this piece by Argentinian composer and guitarist José Luis Merlin together. The suite del recuerdo, 'collection of memories', comprises six movements of which this is the first. The suite is dedicated to Atahualpa Yupanqui and to the memory of the many thousands of 'disappeared'.

It's a beautiful, challenging work and I've a lot to do to get it to where I want it, but for now this quick attempt has left me wanting to explore the other movements and add this work to my repertoire. Perhaps you'll be inspired to attempt this yourself?
